

The Brief
The Connecticut Suicide Advisory Board (CTSAB) needed a statewide awareness campaign that could engage schools, community groups, and healthcare providers. The design needed to communicate compassion, hope, and trust — without minimizing the seriousness of the subject.
Goals
Establish a cohesive visual identity for the campaign
Create a toolkit of print and digital resources
Promote state suicide prevention resources with sensitivity and accessibility
Align tone with trauma-informed design standards

Became a core part of the CTSAB’s resource kit
Improved visibility of CT’s mental health hotline services
Received positive feedback from health professionals and educators
Reflection
This campaign was more than a design challenge — it was an opportunity to shape meaningful dialogue around mental health. It reminded me that design isn’t just about how things look; it’s about how they make people feel.
